Your Schedule - First Day Tips

- Dalhin niyo kahit saan ang EAF/schedule mo! Kapag mawala yan, mawawalan ka ng perfect attendance!
- Kapag 10mins lang ang break between classes, kausapin niyo prof niyo para bigyan kayo ng time para makapunta sa class! Earlier you say it the better! Usually 10mins binibigay niyang time bago siya mag attendance :D
- Kapag 30mins ang break, wag na mag tambay ng malayo! basta mag break ka kahit saang malapit sa class mo!
- Kapag 1hr and up ang break mo, tambay nalang kahit san :))

LASALYANO not LASALLITE

For my almost a month stay at De La Salle University. We have a lot of NO CLASSES already in June and 1 suspended classes. 1 concert, 1 convocation and a Centennial Countdown.
Some things dawned on me.
No pressures yet on studies.Fashion is a statement, some don’t care about the brand, it’s how you look.Recruitment week is a fuss. :)))) You’ll want to join a lots of org. but some have fees so you have to save money to register. Some has interviews and qualification, do your best. You’ll go gaga for over 5-6 weeks recruitment week and every week is another org to join.If you’re a statement tshirt lover, you’ll WANT to buy all the shirts with that ANIMO, TEAM ARCHER, LASALYANO AKO, CENTENNIAL SHIRT and even ORG shirts. Another saving to do.Try all the restos and eateries. Find tambayan.Explore the computer labs and library.
That’s only for the first term, one month stay yet. There’s still a lot more to come.

Papasa ba ako… guide

Ang daming nagtatanong if papasa ba sila sa subject nila or magiging DL sila. bale ganito lang yun.

1. Alamin ang breakdown of grades. (Ask niyo prof niyo)

Example: 60% Quizzes, 40% Final Exam; passing 70%

2. Alamin ang mga grades at ilang quizzes ang bibigay ng prof for the term.

Example: Quiz 1: 70; Quiz 2: 85. 3 Quizzes ang total na ibibigay ng prof

bale, ang quiz 1 at quiz 2 mo 40% pa lang yan ng total grade mo. may 60% ka pa na pambawi.

so let’s solve solve, 20% of 70 = 14; and 20% of 85 = 17.

Bakit 20%? kasi 20% + 20% + 20% = 60% quizzes.

bale sa 40% may 31% ka na. para mag ka 1.0(70%) kailangan mo ng 39%

3. Alamin ang grading scale ng subject. (Ask niyo prof niyo)

Example: 70%-73.99% = 1.0; 74%-76.99% = 2.0. (sample lang yan ah)

Sa ganitong way makikita mo ang kailangan mo para makakuha ng X.0 grade

dahil may 31% ka na kanina kunwari na perfect mo yung quiz 3 and final exam bale grade mo 91% = siguro 3.5 na yan. o dba!

4. Galingan niyo lalo!

TOP 5 offenses of AY 2010-2011

1. 4th and suceeding left of an ID (minor offense) 18.89%

2. No eating policy (minor offense) 18.06%

3. Failure to surrender the one-day campus pass (minor offense) 17.12%

4. 2nd and succeeding violations of the implementing guidelines on the dress code policy (minor offense) 16.53%

5. No smoking policy (minor offense) 10.27%

Try not to fail, some courses/subjects are offered once a year.

Nasa COLLEGE na kayo. :)

Its time to change if nung HS kayo mahiyain or nabubully kayo. Ang college bagong mundo na yan. Pwede kayo gumawa ng new beginning kung gusto niyo. kung ayaw niyo, kayo na bahala kung ano trip niyo mangyari. :)

Sabihin nanatin ang isang admin dito sa dlsufroshtips ay nung HS ay medyo tahimik, pero nung tumapak na siya nung college, siya yung tipong isa sa pinaka-maingay nung LPEP at naging active sa mga orgs.

Kakatapos lang ng first week ng college, pwede pa mag bago. ;)

count down na tayo para sa mga magtatapos in 3 years and 1 term = 139 weeks na lang graduate na kayo! and yung 4 years and 1 term = 181 weeks na lng. ;) at sa iba aba kayo na bahala magcountdown sa sarili niyo basta per term meron halos 14 weeks :)

Annual Recruitment Week

I’ve been browsing through your blog and I noticed that most of the froshies are asking bout how they can join orgs. If I’m not mistaken, a week or two after 1st term starts, Annual Recruitment Week (ARaW as what we used to call it) is held along SJ (conscious) walk where in almost all of the orgs are recruiting, lets say DLSU PEP for example. Well, that is if it’s still how things go around the campus :) Hope it helped!
